Welcome to Lesson 3
You’ve made it this far, and now it’s time to weave all those waltz-time skills, dynamic nuances, and subtle textures into one of Scotland’s most beloved tunes: "The Skye Boat Song."
In this lesson, we’re not just learning a melody; we’re stepping into a piece of history. Picture the windswept Scottish coast and a small boat racing through the waves, carrying a young prince to safety. That’s the spirit we’re channeling here. As you play through the Skye Boat Song, you’ll bring together everything you’ve practiced so far, adding a layer of storytelling and emotion to your playing.
Remember, this is all about the journey—yours and the song’s. So get comfortable, have fun, and let’s bring a little piece of Scotland into your banjo adventure. Enjoy the lesson!
