Returns & Refund Policy

This policy explains how refunds work for Banjo Adventures memberships and how returns are handled for physical products such as banjos and Digital products such as course modules and song tutorials.

The Banjo Adventures Membership is an online shared learning experience designed to help you learn, play, and enjoy clawhammer banjo at your own pace.

All course modules, videos, and exercises are created and presented by me, Ben Dorning, to guide you through your musical journey while having fun along the way.

When you become a member, you’ll gain full access to:

  • All course videos, lessons, and exercises

  • Downloadable materials

  • Our friendly online community

  • Ongoing personal support, coaching, and encouragement from me

There are no hidden fees, upsells, or premium tiers once you join
Everything you see on the homepage and in the Take The Tour”video is exactly what you’ll receive as a member.

Your success, however, depends on your participation. You’ll get out what you put in — showing up, practicing regularly, and applying what you learn is key. Take inspiration from the testimonials on the home page from members who’ve made amazing progress by putting in the time and effort!

Membership Terms

All memberships renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You can manage your membership anytime through the My Account page (found in the homepage menu).
Cancelling your membership stops future renewals and payments.
Cancelling your membership during your term doesn’t affect your access to the Members Area, Only once your term has finished will your access to the Members Area be stopped.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe/PayPal, and your payment information is never stored on our servers.

Refund Policy

I want you to feel completely confident about joining the Banjo Adventures Membership.
If you sign up and decide it’s not for you, you may request a full refund within 72 hours of purchase — no questions asked.

To request a refund, please contact me by any means via the Contact page and request a refund No Explanation Necessary.
Refunds are usually processed within 48 hours.

Accidental Renewals

If your membership auto-renews and you didn’t intend for it to, don’t worry — I completely understand that these things can happen.

I’ll happily issue a full refund for the renewal, no questions asked.

Renewals will be considered confirmed, and refunds won’t be available once the 72 hour grace period has elapsed.

Cancelling Your Membership

Life gets busy, and I totally understand if you need to take a break.
Or maybe — just maybe — you’ve reached your banjo goals and are ready to continue without my guidance.
In that case… round of applause! MISSION COMPLETE! 🥳

You can cancel your membership anytime from the My Account page. Cancelling will immediately stop future payments, and at the end of your current membership period. You will still have access to the full Banjo Adventures Members Area until your next scheduled payment date, after that your access will cease.

You will always remain part of the Banjo Adventures Discord community, where you can chat, share your progress, and even ask me questions. I’m always happy to offer guidance and encouragement, even if you’re no longer subscribed.

Community Guidelines

Our Discord community is a positive, welcoming, and respectful space for everyone. Please keep interactions friendly and supportive — we’re all here to learn, grow, and enjoy music together! Only rule breakers will be removed from the Discord community.

Returns for Physical Products (Banjos)

If you purchase a physical product such as a Banjo Adventures banjo, you may return the item within 14 days of delivery in accordance with U.K consumer protection laws.

The item must be returned in its original condition and packaging and must not show signs of damage or excessive use.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item arrives damaged or faulty.

Once the returned item has been safely received and inspected, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Books on the other hand are not managed by Banjo Adventures and are handled by a third party print on demand service www.lulu.com and any issues with your books must be taken up with them.

Refund Policy for Digital Products
(Modules & Song Tutorials)

I want you to purchase with complete confidence.

If you've purchased an individual Banjo Adventures module or song tutorial and decide it isn't for you, simply contact me within 7 days of purchase and I'll happily issue a full refund — no questions asked.

Refunds are usually processed within 48 hours.

This policy is built on trust and is intended to give genuine customers complete peace of mind when purchasing from Banjo Adventures.

Legal & Payment Notes

Banjo Adventures is based in United Kingdom, and all memberships and refunds are handled in accordance with U.K consumer protection laws. All payments are securely processed via Stripe/PayPal, and your payment details are never stored on this site.
